Current Favourite Mascaras

I'm usually quite picky with mascaras. I just feel a lot of them make my eye lashes resemble spiders legs, and that's not exactly the look I go for. I've been trying out various mascaras, some old and some new, and I have three which I am love love loving at the minute .

Mascara number one is one which I have loved for a long time now, and that is Body Shop Super Volume Mascara. The very short bristles on the applicator mean that there is no clumping, and my eye lashes appear much longer. The mascara it's self is a very intense black which helps make my lashes seem fuller. This mascara is usually priced at £10 which may seem like a lot for just a high street mascara but I think it is totally worth it, I have repurchased this twice now, and it is still a strong contender.

Mascara number two is the widely raved about Maybelline falsies mascara. It seems that everyone and their cat have tried this and have loved it, and I am one of them. Maybelline are one of my favourite brands for mascara for many reasons. They're so affordable, and the quality is excellent. This mascara only costs £7.99 and it definitely stands out from the rest in my opinion. I love that the applicator is curved which allow the bristles to fully coat every lash evenly.  Similar to the body shop mascara I find that this also does not clump my lashes, and they appear full and fanned out.

Mascara number three is a newly discovered gem from MAC. I had never tried any mac mascaras before but when it came to getting my makeup done for my prom I decided that I would buy the mascara which they had used on me, MAC Opulash mascara. The applicator is quite different from the other two, as the bristles are a lot longer and there are more of them. My lashes are not separated as well as they are with the other two mascaras, but I find that they appear very full and black. I do not need to apply as many coats with this mascara, only one is necessary. This is one of the more pricey mascaras at a cost of £14. I am not sure if I would repurchase this over the others I have tried but it is still definitely one of the best.

D.I.Y Photo Line

Today's post is going to be another little D.I.Y I have recently done for my bedroom. I have been seeing a lot of these photo lines around lately on websites such as pinterest, and Nouvelle Daily, and I thought it was so cute, I decided to have ago myself.

It's such an easy way to display all of your favourite photographs, cut outs, and even your memories. For this D.I.Y all you will need is...

I firstly took a piece of string about a meter long and found a wall I wanted my photo line to be on. Once I was happy with the position of the line, I used two push pins to secure it to the wall. If you will be pegging quite heavy pieces to your line, you may need to use more push pins to make sure that the line holds up.

Now your ready to simply peg up your favourite pictures, quotes, clippings, and whatever else you want to display. I bought my pegs from amazon and only paid about £2 for a pack of 100, so they're very affordable! I think this adds a lovely touch to a plain wall, which is why I tried this myself.

I hope your enjoyed this little D.I.Y, and I hope you have ago yourself.

Nails of the day

Just a little post for you today (My Garden is currently waiting for me).  With it being summer, I've been getting out all of my nail polishes and trying out different combo's, and the one I have been really loving at the minute is Essie's Bikini So Teeny, with Models own hedkandi in Ibiza Mix.

The Essie polish is one of my favourites I own, a very pretty purple/blue colour, and I've just been applying this to all of my nails, leaving out my ring fingers.

For my ring fingers, I have been using the models own glitter polish over a white polish from Avon. The glitter is a gorgeous mix of blue's, purple's and gold's, and it goes perfectly with the Essie polish.

I love this nail look, and I have been wearing it a lot over the summer so I thought I would share it with you, hope you liked this post,
